Terrible experience

The room picture on the website are totally different from actual room. The places full of dust and look scary when check in. The toilet smell terrible bad although you close the door the smell still can smell. Not worth paid the price for this. Hope the owner of this places able to clean up.

Ants and not very clean

Spacious rooms, shower had a decent power to it, had aircon that worked.

The location and check in process was difficult and even though we were there at check in time nobody was there to greet us, same as check out. Nobody there if you need anything. Place was not clean, very grimy. Ants and thus, a lizard in the room. TV didn't work. Poor WiFi everywhere. We were told that we could leave our bags for a few hours between check in and out, so we did that and when we came back our bags were just in the front of the cafe that the guesthouse is located, front doors open and our bags were open with our ipad and passports hanging out. We trusted that they would be kept safe once we left them with them, they were not.

it's a cheap place to stay if your budget is low.

Very Poor

I liked nothing I change hotel in the middle of the night.

This hotel is dirty and some rooms are unhealthy to sleep in. (mold moisture spores) Just avoid. The clerk was nice but this place should not even be a hotel and shouldn't be on booking.

Good value for money

Basic clean rooms with all the facilities you need. We received clear check in instructions via text message. The place has a backpackers more than a hotel feel to it. There are several breakfast shops and restaurants nearby, including a night market. The coastline is at a 7 min walk from the hotel. There is a bus stop nearby where you can catch the bus to the railway station. From the railway station you can catch a bus to Taroko NP. If you do plan to visit the park keep in mind the roundabout busses to the hiking trails drive only every hour and do not seem to follow the indicated time schedules. To avoid waiting for hours at the bus stops, it is probably worthwhile to hire a car or a scooter to get to and around the park. Trails seem to be regularly (partly) closed due to weather conditions so it is useful to find out in advance which trails are open (at the visitor center). Also, bring a hard hat as this is mandatory for several of the trails (although no one really checks).

Worst Time in taiwan, dirty hostel

Laundry service

We had BED BUGS ! The hostel didn’t want to change our room, refund the night or even make a discount. They were not sorry. They don’t speak english, they are not helpful (no map, no advice,..) First Time in one month, We had a bad experience in taiwan. Don’t go !
